Celebrating the best of British this Easter with an epic Conrad Hotel London, Thames Clipper and Craft restaurant package
For a perfect weekend of pampering, partying and pure luxury, no new mum can go wrong with a Conrad hotel London package.
It’s been nearly a year since I kicked up my heels to enjoy a cocktail and company with the girls after welcoming baby number 2, so we went all out over St Patrick’s Day to basque in the best of British food, tourism and travel to give you an idea of what to do for a quick Easter getaway.
Set in the heart of St James, after building up a sweat trekking 15mins from Victoria to this gem of a hotel, it was a good job we had such courteous staff to receive us.
Having worked in entertainment and the hotel industry, Showbizmama is big on customer service, and the dedication from the front of house and concierge team was second to none.
It was a whistlestop arrival as no sooner had we been escorted up to our exquisite Junior Suite room to plug in our hair straighteners, than we had to dash out the door to catch our Thames Clipper for tea.
But not before taking in some of the features of this business class hotel – a favourite being the built in TV in front of the bed which was an absolutely stunning way of combining technology advancements with art.
The shower was seductive in appearance and had two functions for1) The rain shower overhead or 2) the adjustable shower head with multi function. Memo to mums: Use the latter if you’ve just had a fresh blow dry or weave fixed – then step out looking fresh to death as the hotel provides Aromatherapy bathroom products to pamper yourselves with.
For the bar, think Cheers! Indeed by the end of the night it’s the place where everyone knows your name with friendly international bar staff going above and beyond to create your favourite tipples and providing anecdotes to keep you entertained until the early hours.
Eye-catching art and sculpture, including a gallery of Gerald Scarfe cartoons and humorous political caricatures, reminds guests of the hotel’s closeness to the Westminster.
Giving off the vibe of a hotel more suited for
business and leisure visitors to London, rather than families with small children, it also attracts couples in need of a weekend away, Mothers Day or a Hen do, informal gatherings in the bar and lounge areas.
After sinking into the sheets for an incredibly comfy night’s sleep, breakfast was served in the Blue Boar restaurant.Feasting our eyes on a decent display of continental treats, the pastry and cereal selection was vast including some homemade granola, supplemented with rich and creamy peach and strawberry yogurts made exclusively for the hotel. Lured by the exotic fresh fruit selection, it was a treat indeed for the tastebuds. But do save space for the cooked breakfast buffet too, with sausages, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and more, it will set you up for the day.
If you’re looking to lap up a little luxury in St James, it truly is a stunning choice for a weekend to remember!✨✨✨✨✨

Best of British dining – Craft, London
Our final destination after alighting the Thames Clipper was the O2 in Greenwich, for an evening of decadence at Craft restaurant.
Nestled in a glass building just by the station, no wonder it’s a secret favourite of celebs when they perform at the arena.
With its extensive cocktail menu, with fresh, homegrown ingredients, it’s a great venue for an occasion, or a quick drink before a show.
The polite and attentive staff will take you through every aspect of the menu and will recommend wines for each course.
The clams, seafood selection and pates are to die for – the starters were a favourite for Showbizmama when it came to presentation let alone the taste that was incredibly pleasing to the palette.
Succulent steak and fresh fish were favourite mains, but order in advance for their signature duck, as you will be in for a treat.
The dessert menu is unique too with creative infusions of homemade icecreams.
The British restaurant offers an a la carte menu alongside short and long tasting menus, which can be ideal for a quick meal before a show at The 02. Stevie Parle runs the kitchen with the top chefs, producing much of what they serve in house from the cured meat to the honey for the ice cream. And boy was it a sweet evening! ?✨
