Lovely Jubilee : Burlington hotel and Bay Tree bar and restaurant review

img_4234-1.jpg

Showbizmama was delighted to join the nation in celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

What a beauty spot we chose – The Burlington Hotel nestled in a quiet corner of the Garden of England, Folkestone, in Kent.

A perfect family hotel for those looking for a touch of affordable luxury, the vibrant and modern decorated hotel boasts exquisite views of the sea – with the beach just a stone’s throw away.

With gardens and surrounding areas as stunning as those in the movie Notting Hill, there’s so much to do and explore at the Hotel, which is just moments away from the Leas and the award winning adventure playground on the lower Leas.

Showbizmama’s recommendation -do check out the Bay Tree bar and restaurant at The Burlington.

It’s a true hidden gem, with an extensive menu sourced from local farmers including lamb, steak and vegan delights…and with chips my kids exclaimed ‘were better than McDonald’s’.

Now that’s saying something! For me, it was all about the traditional cocktails from porn star martinis to pina coladas, and old fashioned tall cocktails, the Bay Tree has you covered.

5 star for families

Whether it’s a date night, girl’s night or a family occasion, the staff are brilliant and do cater to your every need.

I know it’s the queen’s weekend, but your stay at The Burlington will have you feeling like true royalty.
