It’s Good Friday, and if you’re lucky enough to be getting away for the long weekend, do remember to pack light. You can do it! Honestly you probably don’t even need half the extra clothes you pack, try and find a hotel with a laundry so you’re not running after the kids at the airport while trudging a heavy bag.
If you’re leaving from Heathrow there’s a special treat for the little ones to get their creative juices flowing.
They’ve teamed up with renowned children’s authors and poets – Michael Rosen, Danny Wallace, Laura Dockrill and MG Leonard to bring poetry to Heathrow (Heathrow.com/poems)There will be poetry workshops and a poetry competition ([email protected]) as well as play areas, kids eat free in restaurants and dedicated security lanes.

The National Trust’s iconic Stourhead location, complete with Palladian mansion and stunning gardens, has been graced with an eight foot topiary replica of the Easter Bunny.
It’s to celebrate the forthcoming Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts taking place at 271 National Trust locations over the Easter weekend (25 – 28 March).
With 3 million people welcomed to participating National Trust places over the Easter weekend, the charity is hoping for another great turnout.
