A family trip to 5⭐️ Trevornick, Cornwall
Ideas for Summer/Autumn breaks with Showbizmama #tomtom #peugeot5008suv??
With breathtaking views overlooking the Cornish coastline, dazzling lakes nestled within the glorious grounds of this sprawling beauty spot, it really does feel like you’ve stumbled across a little piece of heaven arriving at Holywell Bay.
Our car full of eager holidaymakers, who’d been travelling on a scenic six hour journey from London to Cornwall with Tomtom Go Pro 6250 and their awesome road trip planner, received a warm welcome that rejuvenated us straight away at Trevornick holiday park.
Bubbly staff greeted us as soon as we checked in, and made things so easy placing a high chair and a cot ready for our arrival making things as fuss free as possible.
I guess you could say we were a tough crowd to please, ranging from a 70-year-old Grandma, to an 18-month-old tot.
But Trevornick literally had something for everyone, from the stunning coastal views across the greenest golf course you’ve ever seen, to the kid’s club where a forest school awaits for budding Bear Grylls in the making to get grubby in the outdoors, not to mention the lively cabaret and comedy evening entertainment, there’s no shortage of things to do.
Dig this
Parking our family friendly and stylish Peugeot 5008 seven-seater SUV we were test-driving right outside our swanky new digs, it made things much easier unloading the car not having to trudge across a campsite with all your belongings. We were invited to stay in a three-bed static holiday home -new for 2018
which was comfy and cosy, giving you a feeling of a home from home straight away.
A great option if you’re not one for camping in a tent, and need your mod cons at hand travelling with a family – or if you don’t want to compromise on a bit of glam- then it’s just the ticket.
We stayed in the contemporary chic caravan complete with a kitchen with brand new double oven, grill and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and all the crockery, cutlery and glasses you need for your stay. The living area has a massive sofa where you can snuggle up for a film night on the large flat screen TV, charge up your devices with the USB plugs and enjoy Wifi. There’s plenty of heating as well as the wall fire to keep you cosy all year round so it’s great for the October half-term as well as Easter school holidays too. The stunning static had a cute decking area too so you can enjoy a meal al fresco or do some star gazing ✨✨☀️?p>
Those views tho! Hikes of dreams
While there is no gym on site, it is actually a blessing in disguise as you can go outside and experience the real outdoors with a daily trek.
I thought I was the only one with the idea to rise at 6.30am, an hour before the kids, to go walking and exploring the area. But how wrong I was. The keen joggers were already up, the fishermen were at lakes with their tackle and the golfers were already on their fourth of fifth holes. This was perhaps, and very unexpectedly , the part of the day I looked forward to the most. The grass really is greener once you set your eyes on the scenic views.
As you head home rejuvenated and ready for a brilliant day on site at the swimming pool and fun park, the waft of sausages fills the air as the early risers emerge from the campsite. A fresh tray of croissants and pan au chocolats are being laid out at the on site store and freshly made marmalade is placed on the shelves… not to mention the traditional Cornish pasties being baked. Delicious ? p>
How much: A week in a static starts from £435 out of season, going up to £1049 in August.
Trevornick is a 5* campsite, with several hundred camping pitches, fully equipped Eurotents, and new for 2018, exquisite static caravans.
